Bloglovin' 2016 Awards: H&M Studio Collection

First things first, thank you a billion to everyone who has been voting and supporting Street Style Teller especially when I announced I was nominated for the H&M Breakthrough Fashion Blogger of the Year Award. It means more than the world to me.

Three months ago, I introduced Street Style Teller as a platform that will not predict the future of street style [like a fortune teller]
but will continue to share my own life experiences and my lessons through street style telling [like a storyteller.]

A week later, I received a letter from Bloglovin' and I soon learned that part of writing my own story is understanding and telling the stories and the inspirations of another. I introduce to you, my studio look from the H&M Studio Collection AW16.

Inspired by the collection's key trends of female power and Swedish folkloric romance, I easily gravitated towards strong tailoring and delicate glamour. The velvet hand-embroidered jacket against the sheer printed long lace dress is a contrast in materials that elevate and redefine femininity. For someone that wear sneakers, denim and androgynous looks often, choosing this particular ensemble reveals the complexity in my character as a woman. As much as I love masculine styles in my wardrobe, I can't help but embrace a new kind of femininity with the H&M Studio Collection AW16

“This collection is about the strength and beauty of women, and how we express that power through our style," says Ann- Sofie Johansson, H&M's Creative Advisor.

My power is to be able to tell stories, lessons and experiences through my style both narratively and visually with Street Style Teller whether that be my own or another’s.
