Golden New York Fashion Week Minute

New York Fashion Week is off with the races, [literally.] Yesterday was a healthy mix of doing everything, beating the clock and being wardrobe appropriate.

Honestly, dress codes have always been the bane of my existence. What's the difference between Formal? Black Tie? And Cocktail? The past seven New York Fashion Weeks I've attended that included rushing from class to a show or a dinner or an event included one simple wardrobe change: my shoes.

Yesterday, I traveled uptown to downtown in sneakers until the SAKS Fifth Avenue x Vogue Magazine event in Brookfield Place. Instead of a complete wardrobe change [which nobody has time for], I stayed with the same gold and black gorgeously printed lace dress and simply changed my shoes and man does a pair of shoes change the whole meaning of an outfit from day to night.

Definitely a trick of the trade that I will never let go of.
[Sorry to be brief, another hectic day is ahead tomorrow. Off to bed, I go.]
