Hysteria by Happy Socks

Tis the season they say. Long gone are the days when holidays are easy and stress-free. Long gone are the days when holidays are ruled by adults. Long gone are the days when showing up is the only holiday responsibility. I am not sure how I got here but I am now the one that hosts dinner parties and get togethers. I am now the one that gets sucked into holiday sale rabbit holes. I am now the one that obsesses and overanalyzes holiday decorations. When I inhale more anxiety than exhale relief around this time of the year, holiday dressing seem to fall last on my list.

Thanksgiving and my birthday is well around the corner and with Christmas and New Year’s Day quickly on its tail, I choose to dress effortless and comfortable. Hysteria by Happy Socks will be the accent to all my birthday and holiday wardrobe. It’s chic and easy to style with sandals or boots. Attending and hosting events in an Asian household calls for no shoes indoors so I am ready to stunt with my happy socks. There are socks, then there are happy socks.

Style Story: Socks and Sandals, Don't Knock It Until You Try It

DSC_1452-1.jpg

Happy Friday! It has been a gloomy day today and soon Daylight Savings will commence. I’m not sure I’m quite ready for less sunlight and seemingly longer nights. As the weather becomes cooler and days become shorter, I start to gravitate towards the darker colors in my wardrobe and by darker colors, I really just mean black. Black on black is a trend I tend to follow in the colder seasons. It’s easy, effortless and chic all at the same time. But lately, I’ve been learning some ways to switch up my style.

I discovered the socks and sandals trend over the summer. I was hesitant of this trend until I recently gave it a try and I actually really loved it. It’s a way to transition my style from warm fall to cold winter. The bright, playful palettes of Hysteria by Happy Socks is the perfect juxtaposition against such a minimal look. Sometimes an additional pop to an ensemble ties everything together. Whether it’s a casual Friday or a holiday celebration, I think I’ll be finding news ways to incorporate the socks and sandals trend into my looks!

All I’m saying is don’t knock it until you try it!
